I am just about ready to pack up and move to an island somewhere. I cannot believe politicians are playing games with our economic security. You cannot pay down this deficit without spending cuts AND revenue increases. We need to close corporate loopholes (hello: is anybody paying attention? Our corporations are actually doing OK thanks to markets and jobs overseas!). We need to increase taxes on the highest earners (come on, folks, do you know what EFFECTIVE tax rate we are paying? Take a look at your last return.)
The bickering in Washington is all over control. And some of these politicians want to keep the economy unstable just so that Obama does not get re-elected. That is not a good enough reason to screw us all!
All this BS about “God Bless America.” Please. We need to start working together for the betterment of all of us.
